As one of the finest open-air arenas in the country, the Main Ring is the place to be for edge-of-your-seat excitement. Across the three days of the Show, there is a non-stop timetable for of exciting and colourful acts and presentations. Whether you are watching a breath-taking stunt show, or admiring a parade of our prize-winning livestock, it is the perfect place to take a break, grab an ice cream, and enjoy the entertainment.

RAF Falcons

'Dropping in' everyday*, the RAF Falcons can be seen heading for the Main Ring from high above the showground, where 'X' marks the spot.

Showcasing the prize winners from our Livestock sections. This is a great opportunity to see all breeds and types in one place. A real spectacle for the eyes.

Showjumping

The top riders from across the region come and compete for the prestigious prizes in the Show Jumping section. The perfect balance of speed and accuracy is needed to take the spoils.

The Stutt Associates Inter Hunt Relay

Kindly supported by Stutt Associates, the Inter Hunt relay is a fast and intense relay race between local hunt teams. Progressing through the heats, the final is on Saturday. Which team will get bragging rights for the next year?

Knights of Middle England - Supported by RABI

With over 20 years of experience across live stunt shows, equestrian theatre, film, television, and activity events, The Knights of Middle England (KOME) deliver thrilling, action-packed performances for modern audiences. Combining expert stunt riding, skilled combat, and immersive storytelling, their professional team of performers, actors, and horsemen bring the spectacle and excitement of medieval competition into the 21st century.

Scurry Racing Competition

Scurry racing is equine sport at its most exciting—fast, skilful, and full of colour, making it perfect entertainment for all the family. Drivers guide a pair of ponies at incredible speed through a tight course of cone “gates,” each topped with a ball that must stay in place to avoid time penalties. Easy to follow and thrilling to watch, it’s a crowd-pleasing spectacle where cheering fans help drive competitors on, building to daily heats and a high-energy championship finale.

Jonathan Marshall's Free Spirit Experience

Jonathan Marshall’s captivating “Free Spirit” show is a unique celebration of harmony between man, horse, and bird. Featuring his majestic Friesian horse, Amadeus, alongside a breathtaking falconry display, the performance blends elegance, freedom, and trust in a truly memorable spectacle. Through fluid movement and close connection, Jonathan showcases the powerful bond shared across species, embodying the very essence of freedom and the free spirit of life.
