The Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association was established to promote excellence and innovation within the local agricultural industry.
Today, the aim is still the same. However, educating the current and next generation of consumers about the links between farming and food, is now a key part of the association's work.
The Royal Cornwall Show offers a wide range of educational opportunities for the general public and the association, in conjunction with the Cornwall Food & Farming Group, we stage the annual Farm & Country Days which are aimed at primary school children. We also now offer a mobile Farm & Country Roadshow that visits schools all over Cornwall. This promotes the ‘Field to Fork’ trail, highlighting to children where our food comes from.
