Blacksmith competition

The blacksmiths of Cornwall will be coming out in force this year.

It was three years ago they first put on a demonstration at the show.

Last year they also mounted competitions.

This year they aim to have more people there, making the demos and competitions even more thrilling.

Cornwall is one of the few counties without a recognised event at which points can be gained towards the national blacksmithing championships.

Within a few years they hope to have put that right but they need to gain the right experience first.

So be sure to come along and see the red-hot competition and to marvel at the quality of the workmanship.
